What I keep, and what I don’t.
Plain English, because that’s how I’d want it explained to me.
What I collect
When you turn on a light I keep your name, your email, the name you want on the wall, and, for Kitchen Table and up, the mailing address you give me for the kit. When you save a seat, ask about a date, or submit an organization, I keep what you typed in that form.
What I never see
Stripe handles every payment. Your card number goes to Stripe, not to me, and I never see it. I see that a light is on, which tier, and the email on the receipt.
The site sends its own mail through Resend: your sign-in link, your welcome, your seat confirmation. The community email and the monthly supporters email go out through ActiveCampaign. Every one has a way out at the bottom, and unsubscribing never turns your light off.
If you get my emails, the site may note which pages you visit after clicking one of my links, so I know you’re still reading. That’s all it’s used for.
Who sees it
Me. Not sold, not shared, not traded for anything. The organizations in the directory never get your information from me.
Your choices
Cancel anytime from your portal, and the light stays on until the month is up. Change or remove the name on your light from your Your Light page. Want your information deleted? Email me and it’s done.
Cookies
When you sign in, one cookie keeps you signed in for ninety days. ActiveCampaign, which sends my emails, sets its own so the site can tell when someone on my list comes back. Nothing here tracks you across the internet.
